A ClipNotes presentation requires two files: a video file and a simple XML file, which you’ll prepare on a desktop or laptop computer before opening them in ClipNotes.

The video file is simply the entire source video–in most cases, a full movie.  You don’t need to cut and edit specific clips of the video; that all happens in ClipNotes.

The XML file controls how this source video is extracted from into clips, which it organizes and presents in the ClipNotes interface; essentially, it’s a set of directions that tells ClipNotes what to do with the film.

ClipNotes is currently available for Windows 8.1 and iOS.
