A ClipNotes presentation requires two files: a video file and a simple XML file. You’ll prepare these on a desktop or laptop computer before copying them onto your iPad using iTunes.  The video file is simply the entire source video – in most cases, a full movie.  You don’t need to cut and edit specific clips of the video; that all happens in ClipNotes.  Learn about creating a video file to use in ClipNotes.

The XML file controls how this source video is extracted from into clips, which it organizes and presents in the ClipNotes interface; essentially, it’s a set of directions that tells ClipNotes what to do with the film. Learn how to create an XML file to use in ClipNotes.
